Many people, upon seeing sintered stone for the first time, are deeply attracted by its exquisite designs and colors, and the oversized dimensions deliver an even stronger visual impact. Faced with specifications ranging from 750x1500mm to 1600x3200mm or even larger, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure which size suits your home. Here are our recommendations:
First, determine whether your home is an elevator apartment or a standalone house.
**1. Elevator apartments.** Since the space inside the elevator car greatly limits the range of sizes you can choose, you are usually restricted to specifications such as 800x2600mm, 900x1800mm, 1200x1200mm, and 750x1500mm. The larger the size, the better the visual effect and the fewer the seams. Therefore, we recommend 900x1800mm for floor tiles and 800x2600mm for wall tiles. You may also choose other sizes based on your home layout.
**2. Standalone houses.** With no elevator restrictions, any size can be selected. However, taking into purchasing costs, installation costs, on-site processing conditions, and the need to minimize cutting waste, here are our recommendations: use 1200x2400mm for floor tiles; for wall tiles, choose 800x2600mm, 900x2700mm, 1000x3000mm, 1200x3000mm, or 1600x3200mm depending on wall height.
**3. Thickness.** A thickness of 9mm is usually sufficient. Thinner options such as 6mm, or thicker ones such as 12mm or even 15mm, are largely unnecessary and will significantly increase purchasing costs. If used for kitchen countertops, however, 15mm or thicker sintered stone is required to withstand daily use.
